9 MUKHI RUDRAKSHA
Nine mukhi rudraksha is blessed by Durga (the Goddess Shakti, who took birth on Earth nine times in different forms to protect her followers. These nine goddesses — Sheilputri, Brahmacharni, Chandraghanta, Kosshmanda, Skandmata, KaNyani, Kalratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidatti — are worshipped during the festival of Navaratri. As per Padma Puran and Shrimad Devibhagawat, Lord Bhairav blesses this rudraksha.
Sins committed by a person get condoned by wearing this rudraksha. It also makes a person fearless and stress-free. Wearing it is like getting one’s conscience purified through fire. It also makes the wearer powerful and self-confident.
As per Rudrakshajabalopanishad, there are nine types of power in this rudraksha. It protects the wearer from untimely death, as it is blessed by Bhairav, also known as Kal Bhairay. Yamraj, the God of Death, is known as Kal and therefore both Kal and Kal Bhairav protect the person wearing nine mukhi rudraksha. For this reason, it is said to remove the fear of time from the mind of the person. It is ruled by planet Ketu and nullifies all the negative effects of this planet.
Who should wear?
Persons having fear of any kind, including that of death, should wear nine mukhi rudraksha. In combination with 10 and 11 mukhi varieties, it becomes a powerful tool for protection. It is also known to bring in wealth. Housewives who remain tense due to problems related to family life and are concerned about their husbands and children and working women should wear this rudraksha either singly or in combination with other varieties.
